Time to Take Drastic Measures: Bengals Sign Dhani Jones

By Adam Kiefaber

Last week, the Browns made some surprising moves after its offensive couldn’t move the ball down the field.

This week, the Bengals are making move to compensate the fact that the Browns moved the ball down the field at will.

On Tuesday, they released linebacker Andre Frazier.

Today they signed linebacker Dhani Jones (right) to a one-year contract.

Jones has been a solid contributer for the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles for the last six seasons.

In 2003, Jones had his best season - totaling 120 tackles and recording three sacks.

Since ‘02, Jones has at least 70 tackles in every season and he has missed only one game in six years.

Jones is known for being a pretty boy and like his fellow Bengal teammates he has been arrested.

But he wasn’t arrested for a DUI, drugs or pulling a gun out on someone.

Jones was arrested in March of ‘06 because he refused to stop dancing in the street outside of a South Miami Beach nightclub.

I think he will be a great fit!! Anything has to be better than the defense that we had in Cleveland.

Jones, tackle the hell out of some Steelers…and I’ll be a fan for life! I’m also in the market for a new jersey…so play your card right…and who knows.

It is great to see Courtney back on board.

I doubt he will have his jersey out anytime soon.

However, this move can only help - considering the fact we made the Brownies look like the Colts last weekend
