COME WATCH THE BENGALS PRACTICE AT GEORGETOWN.

It’s getting closer. I’m ready for training camp. I used to go every year and watch the team prepare. I used to enjoy it. I haven’t been in a few years, so I’m thinking about going again this year. They sign autographs. It’s free, except on-campus parking. It’s not too far. You get to see the team in action. I’m chewing it over.
Bengals are scheduled to report on July 26 with the first practice starting on July 27 at 3 pm. I predict good things for the team, and I hope to be there to see the team come together. One of my favorite aspects of camp is the mock game, which is scheduled for August 4. Camp breaks August 16th. Hopefully everyone will be better and better behaved. This should prove to be a make or break for the team. They can focus on the game, because that’s what it’s all about.
If you’re interested in going, here are the directions and other info.
All training camp exercises and practices are free and open to the public. The only charge is on-campus parking, but you can avoid that by parking a mile away and walking (I still hate paying for parking). The stadium, Toyota something, accommodates seating for 20,000, so we should all have enough room if we decide to go and support the team. Bring your friends, the family, make a day of it. You can get autographs and watch the scrimmage (no tackling though). Come support the team.
The camp moved from Wilmington in 1997 with the hopes of improving the Kentucky fan base. It has, based on the youtube commentary mentioned in yesterday’s blog. Maybe they should have tried hiring a better coach or drafting better players back then. The problem wasn’t the training facility location; however, Georgetown is great and provides everything the team needs: a field.
I think I will go this year. There’s still time to change my mind, but I think this can be a changing year for the team, and I want to be with them all the way.

[…] and a look at the gridiron every once in a while is necessary. Even if it isn’t relevant. Training camp for the Bengals opens July 27. Some days that doesn’t seem so bad. Some days that seems very far […]
