Henry accused of assault

Channel 5 is reporting that Chris Henry and Reggie McNeal are under investigation for assault. It appears they have allegedly beaten up a 16 year old boy and his 18 year old buddy. After shoving the 16 year old to the ground, they drove away and threw beer bottles at the two. Maybe they’ll challenge them to a rumble at the high school football field later this week because the 16 year old stole his letterman jacket. I wonder who would win; it might be close - the professional athlete or his little brother’s friend.

I wonder who the designated driver was as they were apparently out drinking and cruising around Cincinnati. Maybe they found a deserted construction site and drank there. Or maybe they were drinking in a closed park. Oh wait, that was high school. But so was beating up high school students and throwing beer bottles at them.

The police are questioning Henry to determine his whereabouts on the night in question. The 16 year old knows Henry because they live in the same neighborhood and the boy is apparently friends with Henry’s brother.

As of yet, charges have not been filed, but Henry knows the drill. It’s not like this is new to him. Yet one more crime to add to the ever-lengthening list. What will the NFL do now? Suspend him for the other eight games, cut his salary in quarters? It seems their disciplinary actions have been quite effective. He has been threatened by Goodell with banishment for life. We will see if this threat will be carried out.
