Ocho Cinco trade rumors

by on April 8, 2009

Chad Ocho Cinco would be all smiles if he were to be traded to the Eagles. Actually he would probably be happy if he was traded anywhere, so will be the fans of the team he is traded too and so will be the fans in Cincinnati. So let's do this thing!

Chad Ocho Cinco would be all smiles if he were to be traded to the Eagles. Actually he would probably be happy if he was traded anywhere. Honestly, everyone will be happy.

BENGALSTRIPES – With the football world done with trade rumors regarding Jay Cutler, it is time to discuss other possible trades and like always the receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson is a hot topic.

The rumors heated when ESPN’s Michael Smith appeared on NFL Live and said, “I am hearing there is interest in Chad Johnson,” in regards to the Philadelphia Eagles having interest in the Bengals disgruntled wide receiver. Smith also brought up the fact that the Eagles “have two first-round picks.”

The idea of Ocho Cinco leaving the Nati is pleasing to everyone, Bengals fans are estatic, Eagles fans feel that he is that missing piece for a Super Bowl run and Ocho Cinco himself couldn’t ask for a better place to go.

He already has a man crush on Donovan McNabb and actually cut in line during pre-game warmups to catch a ball from McNabb when Philly visited Cincy this past season.

Last week, a Web site claimed that the Oakland Raiders had traded running back Michael Bush and a second-round pick for Ocho Cinco.

No matter what the Bengals receive for Chad, that is if they deal him, around 90 percent of the fan base will be happy. The other 10 percent or so will complain, saying why would the Bengals trade the franchise’s best receiver for such a little price.

As one of those that could be considered in the 90 percent, my answer would be, that it is time for him to go. They have enough receivers and could select another in the draft, maybe a star at No. 6 overall.

Anyways, I believe, it would be refreshing not to see No. 85 on Sundays.

HALL CHARGED WITH DUI: Cornerback Leon Hall was charged with DUI after being pulled over at 3:11 a.m. on April 5.

It is disappointing to see Hall, who appeared to be one of the few positive role models on the Bengals’ roster, get in trouble.
