As usual, Chad Ocho Cinco will be all over the cameras when HBO films its series Hard Knocks on the Cincinnati Bengals this year.
BENGALSTRIPES – The Cincinnati Bengals continue to find ways for their fans to shell out money.
First, is making fans give up $1,000+ per year for season tickets. Now, we all have to buy HBO, as the network announced that it is going to feature the Bengals in its annual football series Hard Knocks.
The series will run on HBO from Aug. 12 through Sept. 9. Meaning, we all have to buy the network or develop some key friendships for two months.
I know, you can say, “who cares? I will just watch the Bengals when it counts, during football games.” However that way of thinking is just ludicrous. This offseason, the Bengals should have more wild story lines than TMZ.
Will Chad Ocho Cinco crack? Will Andre Smith ever pick an agent and when he does how will the adjust to NFL training camp after he left in the middle of NFL combine? How crazy will Rey Maualuga be and what will he do to prove he is better than his second-round status indicates? What about the questionable characters, Tank Johnson and Chris Henry will they pull out assault rifles on the 24-person crew at Georgetown College this August?
That is just saying a few, you also have Dhani Jones, who already has his own television show on the Travel Channel, Pro Bowl safety Roy Williams, who will be trying to prove he is still one of the league’s best at his position, Laveranues Coles, who will be filling in for fan-favorite T.J. Houshmandzadeh and a Pro Bowl quarterback in Carson Palmer who played in only four games last year.
Again, there is more, interesting stories could be on Cedric Benson, Jerome Simpson or a rookie free agent like Quan Cosby trying to make the final roster.
The show will certainly be entertaining and I will be subscribing to HBO, but I will probably drop it after the last episode.
