Bengalstripes.com makes triumphant return

By Adam Kiefaber

Remember this week.

It will go down in team history as they greatest offseason acquisition that the Cincinnati Bengals have ever made.

Right up there with the free-agent signings of Richmond Webb and Sam Adams.

However, unlike Webb and Adams this deal will deliver results.

If I lost you, I’m talking about the deal that was struck today, which gave me (the former full-time writer) complete control and ownership of Bengalstripes.com.

Bengalstripes’ loyal supporters might remember that dark day in early November when the last post was made by me on our Web site.

Many of us were left without a place to complain, whine and mope as the Bengals struggled to achieve a mediocre season.

That complaining sanctuary, otherwise known as Bengalstripes.com, is back and don’t expect to leave anytime soon, as the deal set me back a few bucks.

Be on the lookout for trade talk and draft discussions - Please tell all your friends that BENGALSTRIPES.com is back!

Good to hear from you Court - I will post some other topics soon - I was hoping that the regulars would reply to this post, so I wouldn’t have to moderate them in future posts - so spread the word - somebody needs to tell Joe. And where in the world is Woody?

I had to go through the settings and I was able to change the comment posting - before it was making me moderate every comment - now it should just flow.

I’m not upset if Justin Smith goes to the 49ers, nor do I mind losing Tab Perry. I am upset if we lose Madieu Williams, although he had a mediocre year in ‘07, I think he’s a great safety and he’ll be hard to replace. As usual the Bengal’s will bottom feed the free agency and we’ll just have to hope for some good draft picks…What do we know about Odell Thurman and Pollack?

Odell Thurman was cleared to begin training and working out again at the team’s practice facility by commissioner Roger Goodell at the end of January. Marvin is even talking about him again.

Pollack is still thinking about a return - he did see another doctor in mid-feb - I’m thinking that it didn’t go well since we have not heard much since
