T.O. coming to Cincinnati

NFL reporter Jay Glazer wrote on his blog last night (Feb. 4) that Chad Ochocinco, “believes T.O. will be a Bengal next year. Then corrected himself and said that he knows it. Could you imagine THAT locker room? Would be classic.”

Glazer posted that juicy rumor via his BlackBerry.

So, could it ever happen? T.O. and Ochocinco?

Could Terrell Owens actually be at ease with Ochocinco? Owens, who has been known to pout and yell at coaches when he isn’t getting the ball, similar to Ochocinco. However, there is a huge difference between the two wide receiver’s diva attitudes. Especially, this year, as both have seemed to grow up a bit.

My initial thought wasn’t upset or happy with the idea, just excited that Ochocinco has given me something to blog about. It is also nice that the media is talking about the Bengals despite it being Super Bowl week.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind T.O. playing for the Bengals. My only hope is that when he gets upset that Ochocinco will be there to make him laugh. That being said, that was the situation in Philadelphia, but Donovan McNabb wasn’t able to do it. However, McNabb is not as funny as Ochocinco.

It would definitely be great to see a happy Ochocinco and a happy T.O. on the field at the same time. It could be deadly for opposing defenses, but what if they are not happy? Could be deadly for the Bengals’ offense and locker room.

If Cincinnati cuts Laveranues Coles this spring then they could free up enough money to sign Owens. At the same time, it is almost a certainty that the 2010 season will be uncapped meaning the Bengals may just pocket the money saved by cutting Coles.

You have to think about the return on your investment. How popular will the Bengals be in the national media if they were to have both Ocho and T.O. on the same roster? How many jerseys would they sell or more season tickets for that matter? It could all be enough to justify the signing and we all know Mike Brown is not afraid to sign questionable characters.
